About the Band

The Upst*rts formed in 2010, when we began gigging in local pubs around the Medway towns. The original line up was Keith as vocals and rhythm guitar, Sean on lead guitar, Shane on bass and Darren on drums. Our reputation quickly grew as a lively and upbeat covers band around Medway. In early 2011 we started to branch out to London and Essex playing a number of gigs with warm welcomes.

In late 2012, Keith and Darren decided to start a new venture and move away from The Upst*rts which allowed us to welcome Nigel as lead vocals  as well as rhythm guitar and Will on drums. In 2014 we welcomed Jake on bass. Since their arrival The Upst*rts have grown from strength to strength and are now performing at private venues/parties as well as regular pub gigs. We have now got over 60+ songs in our repertoire and growing. With the wide range of music available to us there is no function we unable to play.
